Best Mouth-Watering Homemade Hamburger Recipe

I've taken this to many potlucks in the past and it is always a hit. In fact, one day, I went to a BBQ where many of the wives were the "dieting, no carb type" and you would never believe that most of them had seconds! Luckily, I brought a boat-load of it!

Oh, I forgot to mention that men absolutely LOVE this! There was one party where one guy ate 7 burgers! Yes, I do tend to bring a lot because I know just how much it's loved.

So even though my husband is totally against it, I'm going to go ahead and share it with all of you!

What You'll Need

Serving Size: 4

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef | 316 Calories per serving

  • 4 oz mushrooms | 6 Calories per serving, also finely chopped

  • 1/2 an onion | 1 Calorie per serving, very finely chopped

  • 1 tsp salt | 0 Calories per serving

  • 1 tsp pepper | 1 Calorie per serving

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional) | 1 Calorie per serving

  • 5 tbsp of Yoshida sauce | 56 Calories per serving


  1. Chop onions real fine (put it in your KitchenAid grinder if you've got it)

  2. Chop mushrooms super fine as well so it really blends in with the meat

  3. Add onions, mushrooms, meat, salt, pepper, paprika, and the secret sauce, Yoshida into a large mixing bowl

  4. Use your hands to mix all the ingredients together really well

  5. After about a minute or two of mixing, roll it up in a nice big ball and squash it like the size of a hamburger

  6. On a stove top, preheat your pan to low/medium heat

  7. Once your pan is hot, place your meat in the pan for 7 to 8 minutes on one side (do keep an eye on how it's cooking. If you feel as if it's starting to burn, it may be time to turn it).

  8. Try and squeeze out some of the juicy fat and then feel free to place a piece of cheese on the cooked side after you've turned it so the cheese melts as the rest of the burger cooks.

  9. After another 7 to 8 minutes (or more or less depending on your judgment), place it on your hamburger bun with your choice of garnishes and ENJOY!
